Uganda Consulate Partners with ByteTravel to Boost Tourism Development

Barcelona, October 22, 2024:  The Consulate of the Republic of Uganda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ByteTravel S.A., a global leader in travel technology, to enhance tourism promotion and development in Uganda.

The partnership will leverage ByteTravel’s expertise in travel innovation to position Uganda as a premier global destination. Key areas of focus include digital marketing campaigns, sustainable tourism initiatives, and streamlined travel solutions to attract international visitors.

Through this partnership, the Consulate and ByteTravel will work hand in hand to showcase Uganda’s unique attractions to the global travel market. Uganda boasts a wealth of natural and cultural treasures, including the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, the diverse wildlife of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and the source of the Nile River.

An example of such initiatives is ByteTravel’s collaboration with the Consulate of Uganda to develop, manage, and promote the tourism-focused website, visituganda.ug

 This platform is designed to enhance Uganda’s tourism sector by providing travel advice, recommendations, and facilitating a visa processing concierge service, ensuring a seamless travel experience for visitors.

ByteTravel, with its vast network of over 3,500 travel partners worldwide and expertise in travel innovation, will assist in creating campaigns and tools to highlight Uganda’s potential as a travel hotspot.

Speaking at the signing, Santi Jiménez, Uganda Consul stated, “This collaboration will help showcase Uganda’s rich cultural and natural heritage while driving economic growth and community development.”

Axel Serena, CEO for ByteTravel added, “We are thrilled to partner with Uganda to unlock its vast tourism potential and create seamless travel experiences for visitors.”

This partnership represents a shared commitment to sustainable tourism and the promotion of Uganda as the “Pearl of Africa.”
